Following the announcement of the launch of agricultural insurance services, and within its efforts to strengthen cooperation with relevant stakeholders, ARMT, represented by General Manager Dr. Ahmad Musha’sha’ and the Director of the Production and Sales Department, Dr. Yousef Hussein, paid a working visit to Oxfam and met with the Director of the Economic Development Program, Mr. Mustafa Tmaizeh, and the Director of the Agricultural Insurance Systems and Services Project, Mr. Ghassan Khashk. During the meeting, the company’s General Manager provided a detailed explanation of ARMT’s upcoming direction to provide the agricultural insurance policies that were recently announced, as well as the future plan to expand horizontally by introducing new insurance products. This is part of the company’s efforts to create a balance between the needs of farmers and the vision of the Ministry of Agriculture and supporting bodies, aiming to build a success story, especially after securing agricultural reinsurance agreements with internationally recognized A-rated companies. ARMT also expressed its readiness to participate in the current insurance programs managed by Oxfam and any future programs that contribute to the sustainability of the agricultural sector in Palestine.

For his part, Mr. Mustafa Tmaizeh expressed his pride in the efforts exerted by ARMT with regard to agricultural insurance, affirming that the announced initiative will constitute a milestone in the agricultural insurance sector at the level of the Arab region. He added that this pioneering experience deserves to be built upon. Mr. Mustafa also emphasized Oxfam’s interest in building genuine partnerships with insurance companies and between the public and private sectors to provide more developmental programs that intersect with offering insurance coverage for key agricultural sectors, particularly those serving farmers—especially smallholder farmers.

At the conclusion of the meeting, both parties agreed to exchange practical expertise and intensify joint efforts to ensure the success of agricultural insurance services in Palestine.
