ARMT signs cooperation agreement with the Jericho and Jordan Valley Palm Farmers Association to promote agricultural insurance
Jericho – In a move aimed at supporting the agricultural sector and providing a protective insurance umbrella for farmers, ARMT signed today a cooperation agreement with the Jericho and Jordan Valley Palm Farmers Association, in the presence of several members of the association and representatives of the company.
The agreement was signed on behalf of the company by Dr. Ahmad Musha’sha, General Manager of ARMT, and on behalf of the association by Mr. Mohammad Al-Qawasmi, Chairman of the Board. The signing aligns with the company’s strategy to expand its insurance services—particularly in the agricultural insurance sector, which is considered one of the most promising and vital areas for the national economy.
During the meeting, Dr. Musha’sha delivered a detailed presentation highlighting the main insurance services offered by the company, its recent achievements in the Palestinian market, and its future vision to expand the beneficiary base and develop insurance products tailored for the agricultural sector.
He emphasized that the company seeks to create comprehensive and innovative insurance solutions that meet farmers’ needs, enhance production sustainability, and protect agricultural projects from various risks.
Dr. Youssef Hussein, Director of the Production and Sales Department at ARMT, also presented the company’s new strategic plan targeting members of the Palm Farmers Association. He explained that the upcoming phase will witness the launch of specialized insurance programs covering palm farms and related economic activities, in addition to awareness programs and workshops aimed at promoting insurance literacy among farmers.
For his part, Mr. Mohammad Al-Qawasmi expressed his appreciation to ARMT for its interest in the agricultural sector and its introduction of innovative agricultural insurance products. He affirmed that this step will contribute to enhancing the economic stability of palm farmers and serve as a genuine support mechanism to protect them from potential risks.
The meeting concluded with both sides stressing the importance of continued cooperation to implement joint programs, including workshops and insurance consultations for association members, thereby helping to raise awareness and improve services provided to farmers in the Jericho and Jordan Valley regions.
